I don't know about you guys but when I wake up for an extended period during the night it's like it erases any sleep I had and whatever I get from then on is all my body thinks it got.
Mike and I were awakened at 3:00 this morning by Riley panting and shaking and Malaki stomping on and pawing us. Yep, a thunderstorm. We tried to calm them and get Mali to lay down but to no avail. Mike got up for the day since he had gone to bed extra early. I got up and give Riley a tranquilizer so he could calm down and get some rest. Poor guy just flips out! Got back to sleep about 3:30 ish so my body thinks it's had two and a half hours of sleep.
When I came downstairs Mike had gone on a fire call and Riley, all doped up, was laying at the bottom of the stairs. He wanted to get up and say hi when I came down but he couldn't muster the strength. Eventually he got up when he heard me get their food out though. Fed the boys, helped Riley out to potty threw part of a lunch in a bag and left for work.
I was yawning pretty much the entire drive and needed some caffeine and something to eat so I headed for Starbucks but when I got to the front door it was locked, then I looked up and saw orange everywhere inside, looked up higher and saw that I was trying to get into an AT&T store. What an asshat!
I also forgot my rings today so apparently I'm single for the day and Mike called to tell me I'd forgotten my badge for the Capitol so luckily I'm not going to any secured buildings today.
So much to do before I leave for NY straight from work tomorrow and a shrink appointment tonight. I'd better pull myself together!!!
